When I am not working on a specific project, I work on my 'motif bank'. I paint, draw or illustrate motifs based on a theme or a trend - usually enough to make a repeat pattern. I use these for future inspo or sometimes I can actually use them in a project by constructing the pattern or composition out of the assets. Its a great way to experiment, learn and develop my skills.
